Present and Future of Haptics in XR Development Workflows
We will focus on the present and future of haptics in XR development workflows, including current practices, challenges, and future advances
EuroXR organises a new series of online and hybrid discussions on current and relevant topics with exciting guests from the XR community.
In this EuroXR Open Forum, we will focus on the present and future of haptics in XR development workflows, exploring current development practices, integration requirements, and the technological advances needed to make haptic interaction more accessible.
We are delighted to welcome Jérôme Perret, CEO of Haption, and Thomas Howard, R&D Engineer at Haption (France).
Haption is one of EuroXR’s corporate members and has more than 25 years of experience in haptic technologies, working with customers across energy, robotics, aeronautics, automotive, and research sectors. The company specialises in force-feedback and haptic interaction, supporting applications where users can physically interact with and perceive forces within virtual environments. Haption is also collaborating with EuroXR as a partner in the SENSORAMA project, contributing to the development of realistic, adaptive, and interoperable multimodal XR solutions.
The discussion will be moderated by Marcin Kasica. Together with our guests, we will explore how haptics are currently integrated into XR development workflows, the challenges developers face, and what the future may hold for more accessible and sophisticated haptic interaction.
We look forward to an engaging discussion and to your questions and participation.
