Sensorama Showcases Alliance4XR Platform at Kyiv Aviation Institute

As a partner of the Alliance4XR project, Sensorama organised and delivered a hands-on demonstration of the Alliance4XR platform at the National University “Kyiv Aviation Institute” on 14 May 2026 in Kyiv, Ukraine.

The event brought together around 30 participants, including university students, lecturers, industry representatives, and professionals from both technical and creative disciplines. The workshop aimed to promote the adoption of Extended Reality (XR) technologies in education and demonstrate how the Alliance4XR platform can support practical, industry-oriented training.

Hosted under the Faculty of Air Navigation, Electronics and Telecommunications, the workshop focused on the use of XR technologies in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) engineering education. Participants attended introductory sessions on immersive learning and explored the Alliance4XR platform through interactive training activities involving digital twins and virtual UAV assembly procedures.

Throughout the practical sessions, attendees experienced how immersive technologies can provide access to realistic training environments without the need for costly physical equipment. Participants highlighted the platform’s educational value, ease of use, and accessibility, particularly its ability to support learning regardless of geographical location.

Feedback collected during the event was highly positive. Participants recognised the potential of XR technologies to enhance technical education and identified opportunities for future applications in adjacent sectors, including industrial operations and agricultural monitoring. Valuable suggestions were also gathered regarding future platform improvements, such as enhanced object physics, expanded functionality, and more detailed training guidance.

In addition to the Alliance4XR training activities, participants explored a range of XR solutions currently used in industrial settings, gaining insight into real-world applications of immersive technologies across different sectors.

The workshop concluded with an evaluation and discussion session, where participants shared their experiences and reflections on the future role of XR in education and workforce development. The event successfully strengthened awareness of immersive learning technologies within the Ukrainian academic community and reinforced Alliance4XR’s mission of bridging the gap between education and industry through innovative XR-based training solutions.
