EuroXR Connect: New Podcast Series

Connecting the XR Community in Europe: EuroXR Launches a New Video Series
By EuroXR Association

The EuroXR Association is excited to announce the launch of a new video series designed to foster stronger connections across Europe’s rapidly growing XR ecosystem. With immersive technologies playing an increasingly central role in innovation, education, and industry, creating opportunities for regular exchange and visibility is more important than ever.

Why this series?

As the European XR community expands, so does the need for spaces where we can openly share updates, showcase pioneering projects, and spotlight the people driving progress. With this in mind, we are proud to introduce the EuroXR Connect Series, an informal and engaging format where we will regularly bring you highlights from key events, interviews with thought leaders, and insights into the latest XR trends and initiatives.

A front-row seat at XR Expo 2025

In the first episode of the series, we take viewers behind the scenes of XR Expo 2025, one of Europe’s most influential gatherings for the XR industry. Organized by Virtual Dimension Center (VDC), a member of EuroXR, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour, and Tourism of Baden-Württemberg, this year’s event was part of the “Virtual Worlds” programme, a dynamic showcase of cutting-edge XR solutions.

A particular highlight of the event was a keynote by Anne Bajart, Head of Unit at DG CONNECT (European Commission), presenting the EU’s vision for Web 4.0 and Virtual Worlds. The session was followed by an engaging panel discussion titled “The Metaverse as a European Opportunity”, where the EU’s role in shaping the digital transformation was explored.

In our podcast, we reflect on these discussions with Marco Sacco, Vice-President of EuroXR for EU Issues and Collaboration and Director of Research at STIIMA-CNR. As one of the panelists, Marco shares valuable insights on the strategic direction of XR in Europe and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Building bridges across Europe

The EuroXR Connect Series is more than just a video update, we pretend to build a bridge between diverse actors across Europe’s XR landscape. By sharing expert perspectives and success stories, we hope to inspire collaboration, fuel innovation, and help the European XR community grow stronger and more connected.

We invite all stakeholders, whether from academia, industry, policy, or education to follow the series and contribute their voices to this evolving conversation.

Stay connected. Stay inspired. The future of XR in Europe is one we build together.
